A true Local Hero

Specialist Dale J. Kridlo, 33 of Hughestown, was killed November 7, 2010 in Kunar province, Afghanistan, from wounds suffered by insurgents attacks on their unit with small arms fire. He was assigned to the 27th Engineer Battalion, 20th Engineer Brigade, XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, NC.

Funeral services with full Military Honors will be held Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. from the 109th Armory, Susquehanna Ave, West Pittston with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St John the Evangelist Church, Pittston. Msgr. John Bendik will officiate.

I will be at the funeral service Weds showing my support for a fallen brother. Westboro Baptist Church plans to protest at this event. They have the right to protest but not the right to interfer with this heroes service. Please join me in drowning out their protest.

Key points to remember. Don't lay a hand on them but home owners if they step foot on your property call the police and have them removed or better yet arrested. Park in every parking spot in a three mile radius so the have to walk to get there. Please show your support and give this solider his right to a peaceful burial.

Thank you Spc. Dale J. Kridlo and his family, you sacrificed the greatest thing your life so that we can be free. You are truly a hero.
